The Executive Board
All clubs at Michigan State are run by a group of students who have been elected to the E-Board by fellow club members. Our E-Board is comprised of 5 positions: President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary and Social Media Director. The E-board handles all the responsibilities of the club and organizes all the events.
A Junior from Lake Zurich, Illinois, studying Civil Engineering, Casey serves as the President of the MSU Fishing Club. He is a versatile multi-species angler with a lifelong passion for being on the water, whether he’s working inland lakes or the big water. While walleye remains his favorite species to target, Casey spends much of his time on the Great Lakes trolling for salmon. Always looking for the next fishing opportunity, he brings a focused, driven leadership style to the team’s mission.
A Sophomore from Almont, Michigan, studying Civil Engineering, Lucas serves as the Vice President of the MSU Fishing Club. While he is most at home competing in bass tournaments, he never passes up a chance to get on the water, whether it’s a local inland lake or the big water. Beyond his own time on the deck, Lucas is dedicated to growing the community—he loves taking new people out and introducing them to the sport of fishing.
Hailing from the Upper Peninsula, Mikka is a Junior majoring in Finance who serves as the Treasurer for the MSU Fishing Club. He manages the team’s financial operations and strategic partnerships, bringing a professional edge to the club's growth. On the water, Mikka is a dedicated multi-species angler who thrives on the chase, often traveling across the state to find the hottest bites. While he's experienced with a variety of targets, he has developed a particular passion for the challenge and grit of steelheading in Michigan’s rivers

Jackson Van Houten
Secretary
Jackson is a Sophomore from East Grand Rapids studying Pre-Law who serves as the Secretary for the MSU Fishing Club, overseeing the team’s communication and organization. As a versatile multi-species angler, Jackson is a threat on any body of water, though he is at his best when finesse fishing. Whether he’s picking apart pressured spots or working a technical setup, Jackson brings a patient and strategic edge to the MSU lineup
A Sophomore from Grand Ledge, Michigan, Jack handles the club’s social media and digital presence. He is an adaptable angler who enjoys nearly every type of fishing and is always the first to volunteer to try a new technique or target a new species. While he is particularly passionate about tournament bass fishing, Jack’s primary goal is to expand the club’s competitive footprint and help more members get involved in the tournament scene.
